The Bordeaux Foundation
MISSION & HISTORY.
The Bordeaux Foundation traces its roots back to March 2023, when its founder, Sienna Bordeaux, established the Los Santos LGBT Center. As a transgender woman, Sienna understood firsthand the importance of having a safe, welcoming space where LGBTQ+ individuals could find community, support, and acceptance. Her vision extended beyond simply creating a gathering place; she sought to establish a comprehensive resource center offering social events, physical and mental health services, educational opportunities, and even a café where people could connect in a comfortable environment.
While the vision was ambitious, it quickly became clear that building such a large-scale community center required resources and staffing beyond what a young nonprofit could reasonably sustain. Rather than allowing that experience to define the organization's future, Sienna viewed it as an opportunity to reevaluate its mission and determine how it could create the greatest impact for the community.
In September 2024, the organization was reestablished as The Bordeaux Foundation, expanding its mission beyond serving only the LGBTQ+ community to supporting individuals and families throughout Los Santos who face hardship, regardless of their background or circumstances. The Foundation retained its commitment to inclusion while broadening its charitable efforts to address a wider range of community needs.
Today, The Bordeaux Foundation is dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for those in need through scholarships, outreach initiatives, community partnerships, and direct assistance programs. Guided by the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, the Foundation continues to build upon Sienna's original vision of giving back to the city that provided her with opportunity, support, and a place to call home.
